HELPING THE ONES WHO HELP US

We are all struggling right now. Some of us more than others. Our frontline healthcare workers are in the struggle of their lives and are in constant combat to help us. Now, it’s time to help them. With all that is currently going on to fight COVID-19, along with life’s other continuous emergencies, our healthcare workers are in dire need of anything to help them get through every day. Additionally, many of our local food providers are either closed or battling to get by. Our hope is to deliver a bit of relief to both our frontliners in local hospitals – from doctors and nurses, to administrative and day-to-day staff - and our embattled restauranteurs by delivering meals to the teams using local food providers.

If possible, we also welcome the opportunity to provide funds toward critical equipment to assist healthcare teams and patients in the fight against COVID-19. There are many pieces of needed equipment that are not typically part of a hospital’s budget, however, we are not living in typical times.

To do all this, we need your help.

Though many of us may not be working, or are have had our hours reduced, we ask if you might be able to contribute something. Perhaps it might just be your time to assist with the delivery of food to a hospital (see our Volunteer sign-up button through the link). Anything will be greatly appreciated. HHSC has generously allowed us to spread our message of hope and positivity through their website. Tax receipts for any monetary donation of $20 and over will be provided by HHSC directly. Should you wish to have your money allocated specifically (i.e. food relief or items to support healthcare teams), we have allowed for that option at the time of donation.

HHSC is working to provide us with a safe way to ensure food deliveries. We will provide progress updates, along with a planned itinerary.
